    Wx_Guy..thanks for the Fire Weather Snooper page link. Any way we can get Fremont & Bell Canyon RAWS and potentially some other sites added for Orange County? I know it's the San Diego office's area, but it would be a big help! Thank you!

    Starting to look like parts of CA (especially the Bay Area) could approach all-time high record January temperatures this week. Combined with record-dry fuel moistures and occasional offshore flow, I'm actually pretty concerned about the large fire potential all the up even north of the Bay Area. Even more concerningly, there is increasing confidence that it won't rain at all over the next two weeks http://weatherwest.com--which would put us in the running for the driest January on record statewide (following the driest calendar year on record). Hard to believe, but this is the reality...

    78 degrees and 12% RH at 1230 hrs. in Santa Maria at my home weather station.

    Solano dispatch just sent out an update for the red flag warning for the north bay mountains and east bay hills till thursday with rh during the day in the area of 5-10% with night recovery up to 20%. North winds 10-20 with gusts to 30 and 40 at ridge tops and 70 degree temps.

    Red flag warning issued from yosemite to the tulare county mountains. The soda fire is burning impressively in timber and its only january.

    Red flag warning for the northern sierra now until 6 am friday. Red flag warnings in effect north to south and as bad as conditions are it amazes me that a state wide burn ban is not in effect.
