I have been with a volunteer department in Pecos NM for 4 years, over two have been as the Safety Officer and Training officer. Most of the experience has been on structure fires and automotive fire/accidents. I have been involved in hand crew activities on 4 wildland fires and early this year I am looking to take classes to be Engine Boss/Sawyer certifications and possibly other advanced training depending on the scheduling. I have CPR/AED/First Aid certification through AHA, and recently completed the Hazmat Awearness and Operations certification. Futher I competed the I100/ 200, 700 and 800 for FEMA. I aspire to become a lookout as I have an interest in weather and in my free time hiking up mountains is what I do.
