One fire is 50ac modarate to rapid rate of spread dillion IC is the contact mutiple structure are threatend this is bad country lot of fire history be heads up

SRF and KNF ordering heavy, possibly all started by a truck dragging a chian while driving up hwy. 96. Steep country, did burn in 06 and 08, hopefully not all fine fuels now...SRF C-4 responding..

The one I remember was the lightning bust that came through there in Aug.? 1994,we had 33 fires on the SRF side of the GO road and the Dillion on the KNF side. Spent 2 weeks on SRF and then went to So Cal,then a vacation,and after that was assigned to the Dillion for another 2 weeks, it finally was done when the rain started. Beautiful and steep country.:eek:

From ONCC News and Notes:
23 confirmed starts along Highway 96 split between the Klamath and Six Rivers National Forests. The cumulative fire size on the Six Rivers side is approximately 25 acres; the total size on the Klamath is approximately 120 acres. NorCal Team 1 (Whitcome) has been ordered and will in-brief at 1800 tonight.
