Law enforcement requested for ABC News10 media on Humbug Road near Keefer Ranch (Humbug Rd is the "307 road"), 5-6 miles west from Hwy89. The news media was impeding fire fighting operations, being hostile to the request for getting out of the way, and you could hear the news guy yelling in the background of radio traffic as he explained the reporter was getting in his face, "no 'you're' the one getting in 'my' face!". News vehicle has since left, "heading on the 307 racing to the 89, provided he doesn't run off the road..."

Just a quick reminder that all chit-chat, questions and discussion belong in the Q&D sub-forums. The Abs and Mods have moved a lot of chit-chat and questions from the IA forums today. Initial Attack and Continuing incident threads are for "command" traffic only.

From ONCC News and Notes at 0855h: 36,743 acres, 12% contained. Heavy smoke coverage limited fire activity to minimal spread throughout last operational period. Crews made significant progress last night with burning operations; approximately two and a half miles of burning was completed on the north-east side of the fire towards the Butt Reservoir. Resources will continue to improve existing line in preparation for future firing operations. Resources continue to improve, hold and mop up in the Humbug Valley and in the Red Hill area. The Hwy 70 corridor in Div A is in patrol status.

Several spot fires occurred along the Caribou Road. Suppression efforts will continue to extinguish spots. Resources in the Humbug Valley continue to patrol, hold, and mop up existing fire line . Resources provided perimeter protection for communities along developed areas including Hwy 89 corridor and the community of Seneca. Crews continue to assess and construct containment line in the Butt Reservoir area. Initial attack responsibilities remain in effect in the delegated areas.
