Re: CO-LRX-High Park
Yes, it sounds like homes have been impacted in the southern areas of Glacier View at this time. Last report I heard was that fire may have reached Hewlett Gulch and it was about 1/2 mile out from Hewlett Gulch Road. Structure protection is in place where possible, law enforcement is clearing areas and leaving. It is a very chaotic situation with the full evacuation of Glacier View.
They are evacuating Poudre Park now as well, they have people going door to door right now. Some people up in the Boy Scout area thought they needed to evacuate, but Boy Scout Ranch Road is NOT being evacuated.

The evacuation for Glacier View took several hours and there are residents who decided to stay. A burn out operation off of Deer Meadow Way is in progress.

Re: CO-LRX-High Park
Fire is very active today, experiencing spotting. They are trying to hold it on the south side of the Poudre, putting up a good column of smoke. Sounds like they have been engaged in the Glacier View area all day. Bonner Springs was under a pre-evac notice this morning, sounds like they are sending resources to this area.
The Red Flag Warning remains in effect until 2000 with the possibility of gusts exceeding 40 mph out of the SW this afternoon.

Re: CO-LRX-High Park
i'm about 5 miles north of fort collins and have a very good view of the fire area. the area around east/west white pine was very active last night. that part of the fire is probably 25 to 30 miles from my house, and i could easily see flame from the deck. it was putting up a bit column again today and looked like it had grown quite a ways to the south. if the fire pushes past the west and south containment lines, it could get a lot worse because of all the beetle kill in the area.
